Your Role
You will be responsible for research and development grant applications (e.g. FFG, EU-Horizon) and execution of funded projects together with our development team in Austria and across the EU.
Unwired receives funding for research projects that require a solid technical understanding of software systems. Continuing and expanding our existing research activities will require the preparation of future grant applications, coordinated closely with the internal research and development teams.
You must be able to independently understand, describe, and defend the technical aspects of our research projects, manage them internally with the development team, and produce regular reports to the funding authorities.
Your Responsibilities
Manage the execution of research projects on a technical level with our development team
Report to funding authorities
Write new research applications and applications
Extend existing research projects
Guide funding authorities through project audits
Support internal teams with R&D funding questions
Your Profile
Technical background: Solid understanding of technical software systems with Linux, cloud service components, networking and software development processes
Analytical and structured work style: Systematic approach to interpreting complex standards and identifying technical & procedural gaps
Experience with Austrian national (FFG) and EU research projects
Documentation and reporting: Precise, audit-ready writing and documentation capabilities (e.g. project reports, progress and status reports, new applications)
Language skills: Excellent German and English skills (verbal and written)
Preferred background: Degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field
